Terms of sale
Plain English about paying for AccounTap. This is the product’s own description of the sale. It is not formal legal advice from a solicitor, and AccounTap is not regulated tax advice.
Who you are dealing with
AccounTap is run by VistaHos LTD. You can write to the company at contact@accountap.co.uk.
What you get
One plan. Yearly and monthly are the same product: money in and money out in plain English, a Self Assessment-style summary, a quarterly pack, and a way to send that pack to your accountant. Ask Pal and receipt reading are part of the same plan. They are not charged separately.
What this does not do
AccounTap keeps the records and prepares the pack. Your accountant, or HMRC-recognised software, still sends the return.
AccounTap is a helper for your records. It does not file your return, it is not HMRC-approved software, and it is not Making Tax Digital compatible software. The figures are for you and your accountant to check. They are not a tax bill and they are not tax advice.
Price
The plan we offer, once paid plans are open, is £79 a year (the simple choice) or £8 a month. The checkout page shows the amount that will actually be taken before you pay. If an accountant introduces you, they may give you a code that makes the first quarter free. You enter that code at checkout.
While paid plans are closed, the local pilot is free. Creating an account does not start a charge.
How you pay
You choose yearly or monthly in Settings after you have an account. Stripe takes the card payment on their page. AccounTap does not store your card number. You can read how the books themselves are kept on the Privacy page.
Stopping the plan
You can stop renewal from the payment page in Settings. A yearly plan runs until the end of the year you have paid for. A monthly plan runs until the end of the month you have paid for. After that, it does not renew.
Refunds
If you change your mind within 14 days of a payment, email us and we will refund that payment. After 14 days we do not refund the unused part of a year or a month. The short rule is on the Refunds page.
Your records
The books you enter stay yours. You can download a copy or close the account from Settings. Closing the account does not by itself refund a payment you have already made — use the refund rule for that.
If these words change
This page is the current description. A later change applies to payments you make after the page has changed. It does not rewrite a payment you have already made.
